Yamaha visited today.. though i wasnt there at the college.. bt from what i have heard, a couple of selections, i would refrain from using the name, was very very weird, considering that the likes of Aniket Samat dint get selected..

anyway, u never know with the placements..
in total 5 selections, 4 frm mech and one from prodn... congratulations to all selects..

PostSubject: ECE placements   Wed Sep 24, 2008 8:03 pm

this is prateek,2nd yr, ece...
didnt get coe...taking IT was not allowed...so took ece..
but every1 in colg says ece is just overhyped thing. ece guys donno nothing.
since last yr's ragging seniors to now...no-one ever said "ece placements are good!"
why is it so?
if ece course is ancient, so is coe !
how is ece placement? is it gonna better or worse..in 2010!

Crompton Greaves came for the first time to our campus i believe.. have no idea about it...
as for TCE.. it was an A company, they are an engineering consultancy... smwhat like EIL...
as for the recruitment process, i'd get that by monday evening..

it cud very well have been a case of over qualification, but then, had it been so, they'd have not selected Harsh.. he too is too very taleneted fr the company..
bt my point here is not the rejection of ani, bt with a controversial selection..

COKE

they were an A company and offered a gud 4.75, thats i guess the highest for any A company..

Motorola

Category: A+
Package: 4.75
Cutoff: 65

Shortlisted After Written: 12
Finally Selected : 4 (3 from IT).

this company, i believe doesnt offer an ece specific profile... and hence is not a company to die for... but then, these are my personal views..
